“In Indonesia, there aren't many children's books that depict the everyday lives of children with autism or ADHD. However, this series surprisingly features characters with these special needs. It's essential for children to understand that some of their peers may have autism or ADHD, as it fosters awareness of the diverse world around them and helps combat labeling and misconceptions. My favorite book in the series is "Niko's Magic Show," where Niko is bewildered to see his friend turn into a caterpillar. If you're looking for a collection that showcases diverse characters, this series is a great choice.”

About Me

Hello, my name is Alda Trisda. I’m an author of Indonesian children’s books based in Belgium, where I live with my family. I used to be a literary agent, and now I own a foundation: Yayasan Trisda Literatur, which is the start of my career in publishing. I often participate in book fairs around Europe and stay updated on the world of writing.

Currently, I focus on writing children's books. To hone my writing skills, I diligently attend children's book writing classes mentored by senior authors in Indonesia.

This January, Niko’s World (book series) was published by Kanisius Publisher, and the latest book about cats published by DAR!Mizan Publisher.
